  • Emily Dubois

    3:15 pm - Emily Dubois

Emily Dubois is a musically ambitious fiddler, originally from Langbank, SK. While attending fiddle camps like the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party, Emily was exposed to multiple fiddling styles from a variety of professionals. Fiddle-camps nurtured her passion for collaboration, performance, and evolved to mentoring and teaching young fiddlers. This led her to study music in Victoria BC, while continuing to perform and also hone her skills as a teacher. Now living in Regina, she performs frequently, and runs the Flatland Fiddling Studio where she teaches lessons to all ages and levels. She is beyond excited to be back in the SK fiddling scene and do her part to sustain it!

Emily will be instructing at both FiddlyNess and the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party this Summer, then will head to Kamloops to compete for her third time in the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Competition. In between teaching and performing, she is preparing to record her first EP of completely original music. For more on Emily Dubois or her teaching studio, please check out www.emilyduboismusic.com!
